Fitness & Skill Level
This trip is rated moderate. You’ll be active 5-6 hours daily with varied activities: gentle river paddling that becomes coastal SUP sessions moving headlong into afternoon winds, moderate hikes on rocky terrain that test your legs, and Via Ferrata routes that demand you push through. There’s also yoga at the beginning or end of the day to stretch out.
You don’t need SUP or yoga experience. Our instructors guide you through everything, adapting to beginners while keeping experienced participants engaged. What you do need is stamina for six days of back-to-back activities and the mental readiness to try new things where you might feel out of your depth.
This trip is for women who want to be active every day. You need to be comfortable with the idea of falling off a paddleboard, pushing through muscle soreness on day three, and taking on a week of varied challenges across water, rock and trail. If this sounds like your idea of a good time, you’ll fit right in.
Activity Breakdown:
-
- SUP sessions of 5-9km (3–5 hours) on rivers and the sea
- Hikes of 3.5-10km on uneven, rocky paths in warmer temperatures than you might be used to
- Via Ferrata across metal routes attached to the mountain side, up ladders and along suspension bridges
Fitness Requirements
Cardio: Aim for medium-intensity cardio three times weekly such as running, cycling, spin classes – activities that get your heart pumping hard and build endurance. Walking and yoga alone won’t prepare you for the cardiovascular and muscular demands of consecutive active days.
