Activity Overview

Stand Up Paddleboarding

Hop on your board and head straight to sea caves and hidden coves you’d never find on your own, all  completely cut off from the tourist trail (You’ll fall in at least once which is half the fun in Mediterranean waters this warm.) If you’ve never picked up a paddle before, our instructors will have you up and gliding in no time.

Some days you’ll paddle crystal clear coastal waters, others you’ll wind along the River Temo past ancient farmland, stopping for a swim whenever the mood strikes.

All levels are welcome. This isn’t about clocking distances or perfecting your stroke, it’s about exploring Sardinia’s coastline and reaching those spots far from the crowds.

  • SUP board, paddle, leash, PFD (airbelt)
  • Technique instruction
  • Dry bag

Activity Overview

Hiking

Trek on ancient trails that lead to viewpoints most people never see. Navigate rocky, uneven terrain and overgrown paths where rare vultures with six-foot wingspans circle on the thermals overhead.

Hike 3.5-10km through landscapes that switch from cliff-tops with sweeping Mediterranean views to secluded beaches perfect for snorkelling. It’s moderate terrain that rewards with those jaw-dropping moments.

You’re here for the adventure and the views, not the distance. Our guides also know exactly where to find the best swimming spots along the routes.

  • Experienced local guides
  • Snorkels
  • Access to protected wilderness areas

Activity Overview

Yoga

The perfect way to unwind after days of paddling and hiking. Vinyasa classes take place in our indoor studio to build the balance and core strength you’ll actually use on the SUP board.

Your body will thank you for it. Dynamic sessions are tailored to the group – beginners learn fundamentals, experienced yogis get challenged. It’s functional movement that helps you recover and prepares you for the next day’s adventure.

Can’t touch your toes? That’s exactly where most people start.

  • Experienced instructor
  • Indoor studio
  • Sessions tailored to group level

Activity Overview

Via Ferrata

Halfway between scrambling and rock climbing, you’ll scale Sardinia’s cliffs using steel cables, metal steps, ladders and suspension bridges. It’s an adrenaline rush that gets your heart pumping, but you don’t need climbing experience or massive upper body strength.

Think adventure playground for adults. You’ll be clipped into safety cables the entire time, so it’s about conquering your nerves and enjoying the rush, not technical climbing skills.

  • All safety equipment provided
  • Professional instruction

Activity Overview

Pasta Making

Get hands-on learning from local nonnas at a working farm with incredible views across the Sardinian countryside. These grandmothers have been making pasta for decades and you’ll learn techniques passed down through generations while surrounded by olive groves and farmland.

Roll, shape and create your own pasta from scratch, then sit down with a glass of local wine to eat what you’ve made.

Fitness level

Moderate

Five to six hours of varied activity daily across six consecutive days in summer heat makes this a genuinely busy few days. Trails range from easy to moderate on rocky, uneven terrain, and the heat adds its own demands on top of the movement. If you’re doing regular cardiovascular exercise and know you’ve got enough in the tank for back-to-back active days, this one is for you.

You'll Need To Be

  • Doing regular cardio before you arrive
  • Comfortable on uneven, rocky trails in warm temperatures
  • Okay with heights — via ferrata involves ladders and exposed sections
Skill level
1

Beginner

No SUP, via ferrata or yoga experience needed, your guides teach everything from scratch. You do need to swim and be confident in water however as you’ll be paddling on deep sections of sea and river.

Beginner is the skill level. It’s not an easy trip. Check the Fitness Level above.

The answers

What You're Wondering

Do I need SUP experience?

Not at all. Our instructor will get you up and paddling, but expect 3-5 hours on the water to work muscles you didn’t know you had. More experienced paddlers are welcome, but we tailor the pace for beginners.

How fit do I need to be?

This trip is rated moderate. You’ll be active 5-6 hours over consecutive days with SUP distances of 5-9km and hikes of 3.5-10km on rocky, uneven terrain. If you can handle full days outdoors, push through some discomfort, and don’t mind getting sweaty, you’ll manage.

I've never done yoga, is that okay?

Perfect. You don’t need to be flexible. Our instructor guides you through Vinyasa-based classes, adapting postures for your body and level. Never set foot on a mat? You’ll be fine.

What SUP equipment is provided?

We provide high-quality Red Paddle Co Sport boards, paddles, PFDs (air belts), snorkels, dry bags, and yoga mats. You don’t need your own board and if you do have one please leave it at home – we prefer you use ours for consistency and ease.

What's a Via Ferrata?

It’s a protected climbing route with steel cables, ladders, and zip wires – halfway between scrambling and rock climbing. You don’t need climbing experience though. If you’re afraid of heights, we encourage you to approach it with an open mind in our supportive environment. You can try a few sections at the beginning and we find many scared guests go on to complete the whole route.

What should I wear for activities?

You’ll mainly paddle in swimwear or sportswear with a hat and long-sleeved top – Mediterranean sunshine is relentless on the water. Hiking boots or trail running shoes with good grip are mandatory for hikes and the Via Ferrata. Aqua shoes are also needed for getting on and off boards in rocky areas.

How do I get to Sardinia?

Fly into Olbia Airport (recommended) or Alghero Airport (make your own way to the start point). We provide single timed transfers for each trip from Olbia Airport.

What time is the transfer?

A group transfer is included on both the arrival and departure days. This is a shared transfer, running at fixed times to and from Olbia Airport.

There is one transfer each way, and your flight must match the timings. If it doesn’t, you’ll need to make your own arrangements.

Tuesday – Tuesday

  • Pick-up Point: Olbia Airport at 11:50

  • Drop-off Point: Olbia Airport at 9:20

Saturday – Saturday

  • Pick-up Point: Olbia Airport at 10:50

  • Drop-off Point: Olbia Airport at 8:25

There is no discount if you choose not to use the transfer.

What if my flight doesn't match transfer times?

You’ll need to arrange private transport to Bosa. From Olbia, private transfers cost €160 each way for 1-3 people. From Alghero, it’s €80 each way and there’s also direct bus service for approx €5.

What's the weather like in summer?

It’s your usual warm Mediterranean weather with intense sun exposure, especially July and August. Temperatures can be genuinely hot with relentless sun, which is why we choose shorter hike distances and include swimming opportunities to cool off.

What happens if weather affects activities?

Our guides monitor conditions and have backup plans ready. If we can’t paddle, alternatives include additional hikes, coasteering, aqua-trekking, or extra yoga workshops. Safety first, but you’ll still get your adventure experience.

Do I need extra cash?

Budget for additional drinks and ice creams. All meals and activities are included, but you might want euros for personal extras during free time exploring cobblestone streets.

Is the itinerary set in stone?

Not at all. We design flexibility into every trip because weather and conditions can change. Our guides adjust daily plans to ensure the best and safest experience. None of our itineraries are fixed – we move things around to make the most of conditions.
