I had a little emotional moment on Sunday morning reading about Gutsy Girls in The Guardian.

It’s been a whirlwind first year, so much work has gone into getting Gutsy Girls where it is today. It’s also been an incredibly fun journey, filled with adventures and great new friendships.

Sometimes I’m so focused on ‘what’s next’ that I forget to stop and reflect on how much I’ve achieved in one year, also find it hard to say how proud I am of myself 🙈 So yesterday was the perfect moment to stop and look back on an incredible first year.

Thank you to all the amazing women who’ve have been part of Gutsy Girls. For those of you who are yet to join our events or trips, I can’t wait to meet you!

And a huge thank you to our providers who share the same passion of getting women into adventure and new sports.

(I don’t like being in front of the camera, but my boyfriend captured this moment so I stop and take stock more often)

Here’s to the next adventure 🍻

Stand Up Paddleboarding in London this Winter

Since January we’ve introduced over 200 women to standup paddleboarding in the past 10 months!

Massive thank you to all those who’ve joined us for a paddle

If you haven’t had a chance to join us, I’m happy to say we’ll be continuing to offer our paddleboarding sessions throughout the winter!

Won’t it be freezing?

We like to call it fresh! Throughout the winter, we provide wetsuits to keep you toasty. Simply bring along hats, gloves and a jacket if you feel the cold too much.

What’s it like to SUP in winter?

We think It’s beautiful, it’s lovely and crisp in the air and London in winter looks amazing especially around Christmas time!

What happens if I fall in?

Wetsuits are designed to keep you warm when wet, so in the unlikely event that you do take a dip you’ll still be nice and warm for the rest of the paddle.

After each session, we’ll head to a local bar to warm up with a tea, coffee, mulled wine or what ever takes your fancy.

How much does it cost?

Our Introduction Sessions are £45 (normally £57) for 2 hours of paddleboarding.

This includes a quick onland paddleboarding lesson and tour of the canals or the Thames.

Once you’ve done your introduction session with us, you can join any of our paddles for £24 or £26 for our 3 hour tour on Regents Canal.

I’ve already SUPed before, can I skip the Introduction?

Great to hear you’re a fellow SUPer, if you haven’t paddled with Gutsy Girls or Active360 you’ll need to join the Intro Session.

It gives us an opportunity to go over the health and safety for the London waterways.

We aim to keep our lessons short and sweet, to get the most out of your water time!

Sounds great, but I can’t convince a friend to join me?

Over 90% of Gutsy Girls come down solo! The main reason I set up Gutsy Girls is to connect like minded women through sports, adventure and nature.

Holiday Photos | Luxury Surf and Yoga Retreat in Cornwall

This September we hosted our first Gutsy Girls Luxury Surf and Yoga Retreat in Cornwall. 12 super fun women joined us for a long weekend learning to surf on a beautiful tranquil beach on the Cornish coastline.

We had perfect conditions for beginner surfers with small waves, no wind and the sun came through on the second day too!

We stayed in a Luxury Private Lodge with it’s own hot tub at a 5 star spa Resort, perfect for a weekend escape from the city!

This trip was run by our great friends at Ride on Retreats, who we are excited to partner with to offer more luxury surf and yoga retreats in the UK and Portugal!

Want to give it a try? We’ve got a few spots left this November.

Event Photos | Women Only Wakeboarding Lessons in September

This year we’ve been getting more women into watersports and board sports including stand up paddleboarding, wakeboarding and skateboarding. Our women only sessions create a super friendly and relaxed atmosphere where it’s totally ok to be a beginner!

For us it’s not about picking up a new sport super fast or being the best, we’re about trying something new and meeting some kick ass likeminded ladies in the process.

Here’s some photos from our last Midweek Cake and Wake Session of 2018, we’ve got two more wakeboarding sessions lined up before the winter hits!

👀 Keep an eye on our events as spots are limited!

Gutsy Girls Norwegian Standup Paddleboarding Adventure Reloaded

This time last month we were paddleboarding on the Fjords of Norway with 10 more incredible and inspirational women.

We had some sunshine, we had some rain and we a crazy paddle into headwind for 5km* and it all added to the epic adventure.

*At the airport some guys who'd been kayaking in the strong winds told us how impressed they were that we kept paddling. They stopped for tea and cake and waited for the wind to die down!

Massive request to these Gutsy Girls for digging deep and laughing through what will gone on records as my toughest 5km paddle!

Full trip report coming soon!

Wild SUP Weekend | Scotland 14th - 16th July

Our Wild SUP Retreat in Scotland was so much fun! 2.5 days of stand up paddleboarding in the Inner Seas of the West Coast of Scotland, even in the rain the beauty of this place will never disappoint.

We had a real adventure all weekend, fuelled by aeropress coffees, Kate Bush, little wine ;) and of course loads of laughter! It was such a pleasure to spend time with 7 amazing women + Barry our SUP Expedition Guide (and amazing chef)

Huge respect for these ladies for braving the cold Scottish waters for a wild swim!
