This 5 day adventure is all about exploring beautiful wilderness and coastal locations by standup paddleboarding and foot. A week of adventures, perfect for beginner and intermediate paddlers, who want to improve their skills and explore stunning locations.
We’ll be paddling on the sea and a tranquil river, to explore beautiful coastlines, weaving our way through sea caves, playing in secluded bays, discovering hidden beaches and meandering into the countryside on our river tour.
We’ll be hiking getting off the grid to explore perfectly preserved wilderness locations, trekking to incredible view points and be immersed in nature, including a hike to our favourite cave that looks out over the bright blue water.
We’ll climb the on the Via Ferrata della Regina. Via Ferrate is a protected climbing route, with a variety of steel cable rails, metal steps, ladders, suspension bridges and zip wires. Described as halfway between scrambling and rock climbing, Via Ferrata allow non-experienced climbers the opportunity to scale to new heights. It’s an adrenaline pumping activity that we are excited to offer, you do not need previous experience or a a high level of fitness or strength.
Our fantastic yoga instructor Lohene will guide us in a daily practice, great for all level yogis.
If you’ve never even set foot on a mat, no problem, there’s a common misconception that you have to be flexible to do yoga. Our instructor is highly experienced and will guide you through the practice, teaching you about breath work and adapting the postures for your body and level.
Yoga is fantastic not only for improving flexibility, strength and balance (great for paddleboarding) it’s also a great way to unwind and reconnect with yourself.
During this retreat we’ll also have an AcroYoga workshop in our riverfront studio, pairing up to explore new balance postures. We’ll combine our yoga practices with SUPyoga; paddling to a beautiful bay for a session that challenges our balance and calms the mind in a stunning locations.
Food as always plays an important role on our retreats, it’s a time for the group to come together and share their experiences from the day, to laugh and connect over a glass of great wine.
We can’t wait to indulge in delicious healthy food, sampling Sardinian slow food specialities and traditional dishes all grown, produced and prepared locally. We’ll be eating in fantastic restaurants, throughout the week.
We’ll be working with a local grandmother ‘pasta mamma’ for our pasta making workshop, it’s a fantastic evening making our own ravioli and of course plenty of cheese and wine to indulge in all evening too. It’s a real highlight of our Sardinia adventures.
We couldn’t go to Sardinia without sampling the wine, we’ll enjoy a wine tasting on our first night and learn all about the fantastic local vineyard and it’s history.
We’ll be staying in Bosa, one of Italy’s most picturesque villages. This pretty medieval town, set along the river banks of River Temo, with pastel coloured houses stacked along the hillside below it’s own castle. During the week we’ll have plenty of opportunities to explore the cobblestone streets and lively piazzas teeming with people enjoying the Mediterranean sunshine.
Our base will be a lovely 3 star hotel, with light and airy rooms. Choose from a private double room or twin room to share with another Gutsy Girl.
