Follow in the footsteps of Vikings with our six day multi-activity adventure to epic Lofoten. Once a quiet fishing area, the island is now a must see for anyone who wants to get active whilst absorbing some of the most awe inspiring scenery Norway has to offer.
This one of a kind trip allows you to explore the island via a number of different activities, including paddleboarding, hiking, cycling and kayaking. Expert guides will lead you each day in a new sport, all against the background of the island’s raw beauty.
Location
Located just above the Arctic Circle, Lofoten Archipelago stretches for 100 miles into the Norwegian Sea and offers dramatic scenery, untamed wilderness and crystal blue waters. Despite its very northern location, Lofoten was recently lauded by National Geographic as one of the world’s best beach breaks, thanks to its sandy coves, natural harbours and thriving wildlife.
Tucked in the east corner, our hotel sits on the edge of the Arctic ocean. Face one way and have nothing but endless sea, speckled with tiny islands, turn the other and come face to face with a skyline dominated by mountains. Once a thriving fishing area, it’s now the perfect location to explore the wild beauty of Lofoten, whether by foot, bike or paddle!
Activities
Hiking
Trek to Djevelporten, the Devil's Gate, where jagged mountain peaks frame views across Lofoten's islands and Arctic waters. Navigate mountain trails, gorges, and river crossings on two guided hikes. Your guide will explain the geology, wildlife, and local legends as you climb toward viewpoints that stretch across the Norwegian Sea.
Two guided hikes: 3-5 hours and 4 hours

Kayaking
Channel your inner Viking and explore Lofoten by water with a three hour kayak trip. Paddle between islands where mountains rise straight from the sea. Team up with another Gutsy Girl in stable double kayaks and navigate around rocky outcrops and hidden coves while keeping watch for seals, seabirds, and marine life both above and below the surface.

Stand-Up Paddleboarding

Cycling
We’ll investigate more of the island with an 18km cycle ride to the fishing village of Henningsvær. Made up of several small islands joined up by bridges, Henningsvær is the perfect destination for great cafes, local culture and a busy community.
Spa
Boasting Lofoten’s best spa, every evening you can rest tired muscles in the sauna or hot tub, or jolt them awake with a plunge into the arctic ocean! It’s your chance to experience the benefits of hot and cold therapy, or simply rest, relax and take in the stunning scenery.
Yoga
To complement our long active days, we’ll stretch and start the day with four morning yoga sessions.
If you’ve never even set foot on a mat, no problem, there’s a common misconception that you have to be flexible to do yoga. Our instructor is highly experienced and will guide you through the practice, teaching you about breathwork and adapting the postures for your body and level.
