Activity Overview
The Dolomites is one of the world’s great hiking destinations and we’re taking you straight into the best of it, well away from the crowds.
The first hike descends into Stelvio National Park, where ancient larch forests line the trail and waterfalls crash down through the gorge beside you. The second is pure Dolomites drama, with jagged rock spires rising straight from the valley floor, towering walls of exposed rock, and historic mountain refugios perched against rocky backdrops.
Activity Overview
Meaning “iron road” in Italian, a Via Ferrata is a series of fixed cables, rungs and anchors bolted into sheer rock face that let you climb terrain you’d otherwise have no business being on. This route traces one used by the Italian army during WW1 to move soldiers between ridgelines. At around 3,000m above sea level, you’ll tackle 50m or more of suspended walkways, as well as rock tunnels, granite staircases, bridges and wooden paths.
Activity Overview
Thirty-five kilometres through a valley, into the mountains and around alpine lakes – the kind of route that would be a serious undertaking on a regular bike. On an eBike though the climbs become manageable, so you can give the scenery your full attention.
You still pedal, change gear and navigate the terrain, the eBike just adds power where you need it most. This means you can push further and arrive with something left in the tank
Activity Overview
Get the heart rate up and the adrenaline pumping with a rafting trip down the Noce river, one of Italy’s most respected white water routes. After a proper safety briefing and talk about paddle technique, you’ll hit the river to pass unspoiled alpine scenery before tackling stretches of rapids.
Activity Overview
At the end of your adventure you’ll get to rest any tired muscles in Italy’s biggest thermal park. Just a few minutes from Verona, the park offers indoor and outdoor pools filled with thermal spring water, as well as saunas, steam rooms and whirlpool stations. There’s also plenty of restaurants to grab some lunch in and swim up bars for other refreshments.

The answers
No. The hiking, via ferrata, rafting and eBiking are all suitable for beginners. You’ll have expert local guides with you throughout, and every activity starts with in-depth instruction. The only things you do need: a good baseline fitness and the ability to ride a bike for the eBiking day.
This trip is rated moderate. You’ll be active for 4-6 hours every day across varied terrain and doing different activities. You don’t need to be an elite athlete, but you do need a solid fitness base and to be comfortable with consecutive active days. If you regularly hike, run or cycle, you’re in the right territory.
The route runs at around 3,000m above sea level with some exposed sections. A genuine head for heights is essential. You’ll be harnessed in and with a guide the whole time, and the route follows a historic path used by the Italian army in World War 1 so it’s very well-trodden and well-managed. If you’re genuinely uncomfortable with heights, be honest with yourself before you book.
You don’t need to be a strong swimmer, but you must be able to swim 100m and be confident around water. A full safety briefing is provided before you get on the river.
The route is 35km with 650m of climbing through a valley and up to an alpine lake, so eBikes make the route more accessible. They give you extra power when the gradient kicks in, which means you spend more time enjoying the scenery and less time suffering on the climbs. You still pedal, change gear and navigate the terrain though, the motor just helps when you need it.
Fly into Verona Airport (VRN). From there a fixed-time, group transfer will run on both arrival and departure days, making the two hour journey between the airport and hotel.
A group transfer is included on both the arrival and departure days. This is a shared transfer, running at fixed times to and from Verona Airport.
There is one transfer each way, and your flight must match the timings. If it doesn’t, you’ll need to make your own arrangements.
Transfer times:
Val di Sole earns its name across the summer months. Expect warm, sunny valley days ranging from around 18°C in early June up to 30°C at the height of summer, cooling to a pleasant 20–25°C by September. Higher up is a different story: the via ferrata sits at around 3,000m where wind chill is real and afternoon thunderstorms can roll in fast whatever the valley forecast says. Layers and a waterproof are non-negotiable every day, whatever the time of year you visit.
Yes. Mountain weather is unpredictable, and we build flexibility into every trip to account for it. Your guide may adjust the activity order depending on conditions, so you’ll still get everything the trip promises, just where it’s safe to do so.
You’ll need to bring some euros. Cards work in most places in the valley, but the mountain refugios on the hiking days often struggle to process payments at altitude. You won’t need much, just enough for drinks and snacks on the mountain days and a tip for your guide or host if you want to give one.
