By booking a Gutsy Girls day event, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
These events are organised by Gutsy Girls Ltd and led by suitably qualified and experienced guides. Our hiking events are currently led by Marcela Moravkova, a qualified Lowland Leader who holds a valid Outdoor First Aid qualification and appropriate public liability insurance for leading groups of up to 12 participants.
Your contract is with Gutsy Girls Ltd, who are responsible for administering your booking and organising the event.
Our guides have a duty of care to all participants and are responsible for the safe management of the group throughout the event.
For the safety and enjoyment of everyone, your guide may:
All participants must follow the guide’s instructions at all times.
Our day hikes require a minimum of 5 participants to run and have a maximum group size of 12 participants.
If minimum numbers have not been reached, we will normally notify participants at least 7 days before the event and issue a full refund.
By booking a day event, you confirm that you are physically fit enough to take part in the advertised activity and that you have read the event description to ensure it is suitable for your fitness level and experience.
You are responsible for ensuring you have the appropriate level of fitness and mobility for the event.
Please let us know before the event if you have any medical condition, injury or allergy that may affect your ability to participate safely or that the guide should be aware of in an emergency.
If you become unwell or injured before the event, please contact us as soon as possible.
Participants are responsible for bringing suitable clothing, footwear and equipment appropriate for the activity and weather conditions.
You should arrive with:
If you arrive without suitable equipment, the guide may refuse your participation if they believe it would be unsafe. In these circumstances, no refund or transfer will be offered.
Our hikes take place outdoors and go ahead in most weather conditions, including rain.
Please come prepared for the forecast and expect typical British weather. We do not cancel events simply because it is raining.
If severe weather or other conditions make it unsafe to proceed, the guide may amend the route, shorten the walk or cancel the event.
Unless you hear from Gutsy Girls, you should assume your event is running as planned.
All bookings for Gutsy Girls day events are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Once your booking has been confirmed, it cannot be cancelled, transferred to another event or transferred to another person.
No refund, credit or rescheduling will be offered if you are unable to attend, regardless of the reason. This includes, but is not limited to:
Participants who do not attend the event, arrive too late to join the group or leave the event early will not be entitled to a refund or transfer.
Please arrive at least 10 minutes before the advertised start time.
The group will leave promptly at the published meeting time.
If you are delayed, please notify your guide via the event WhatsApp group where available. While we will do our best to help, we cannot guarantee that the group can wait or that you will be able to join after the event has started.
No refunds or transfers will be given to participants who fail to attend or arrive too late to join the group.

Where an event is cancelled because minimum numbers have not been met, we will normally provide at least 7 days’ notice and issue a full refund.
If we need to cancel for any other reason, we will notify you as soon as reasonably practicable and provide either:
We are not responsible for any additional costs you may incur, including travel, accommodation, parking, childcare or loss of earnings.
Participants must follow all reasonable instructions given by the guide throughout the event.

Participants whose behaviour is unsafe, disruptive or places themselves or others at risk may be asked to leave the event immediately.
No refund or transfer will be offered in these circumstances.
Hiking and other outdoor activities take place in natural environments where uneven ground, changing weather and other natural hazards are present.
By taking part, you acknowledge these inherent risks and agree to act responsibly, take reasonable care for your own safety and the safety of others, and follow your guide’s instructions at all times.
Personal accident, cancellation and personal belongings insurance are not included with your booking.
Participants are responsible for arranging any insurance they consider appropriate for their own circumstances.
For safety, weather or operational reasons, your guide may alter the planned route, meeting point, timings or itinerary where reasonably necessary.
These changes do not entitle participants to a refund or transfer.
Photographs and videos may be taken during the event and used by Gutsy Girls Ltd for marketing and promotional purposes, including on our website, social media channels and printed materials.
If you would prefer not to appear in photographs or videos, please let your guide know before the event begins and we will do our best to accommodate your request.
Before the event, participants will usually be invited to join a WhatsApp group where important event information and updates will be shared.
The WhatsApp group is the quickest way to contact your guide on the day if you are running late or need assistance.
Unless otherwise stated, participants must be aged 18 years or over to attend Gutsy Girls day events.
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising in connection with these Terms & Conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
