• Warm boots for hiking around in town (can also be the same as used for hiking)

• Warm, waterproof hiking boots that come over the ankle (or hire for 100 NOK)

• Base layers (thermal tops and bottoms made of Merino wool or synthetic equivalent. Never cotton)

• Thick warm socks (wool recommended)

• Warm Mid layers (fleece or wool sweaters)

• Insulated hiking trousers (for under your snowmobile suit)

• Thin liner gloves (for underneath your mittens)

• Warm hat

• Buff

• Warm mittens

• Warm casual clothing (for evenings)
