Activity Package and Holiday Terms and Conditions - Tyin Filefjell AS
Before making a booking, please read these terms and conditions carefully. They outline the agreement between the company and the client and cover all aspects of the booking, participation, and cancellation policies. For inquiries, contact Tyin Filefjell AS at booking@tyin.no.
1. Operator Information
All tours and activities are operated by Tyin Filefjell AS, referred to as "the company"; "we"; or "us"; in this document. Tyin Filefjell AS is registered with Registration Number 930 182 451 in the Norwegian Business Registry (The Brønnøysund Register Centre).
2. Financial Protection
The company complies with National Law or Regulations, ensuring protection for package tours and travel guarantees. We are also a member of the Norwegian Travel Guarantee Fund.
3. Applicability
These terms and conditions apply to all bookings made for activity packages such as packages combining lodging with additional services such as transfers, meals and guided hiking, cycling, skiing, snowshoeing or kayaking. They form the basis of the agreement between you and the company.
4. Booking and Payment
4.1. Eligibility: Bookings are accepted from individuals aged 18 and above. Bookings for minors require written consent from a legal guardian and must be accompanied by an adult.
4.2. Confirmation: Upon booking, you will receive a confirmation. Please review it carefully and notify us of any errors immediately.
4.3. Payment: Payments must be made in full by the specified due date. Payment must be done by credit card. Additional fees may apply for international payments.
5. Cancellation by You
Cancellations must be made in writing. The following cancellation fees apply:
● 45 or more days before arrival: 30% deposit is non-refundable.
● Less than 45 days before arrival: Full price.
We recommend purchasing cancellation insurance. Contact your insurance provider for coverage details.
6. Alterations by the Company
We reserve the right to make changes to the itinerary due to unforeseen circumstances. We will notify you of significant changes as soon as possible and offer alternatives when feasible. Minor changes are considered part of the travel experience.
7. Prices
For travel bookings made more than 6 months in advance, we reserve the right to adjust prices if this is necessary to meet unforeseen increases in our underlying costs. You will be notified of any price increase exceeding 5% and may cancel the booking without penalty if desired.
8. Minimum Group Size
Some activities require a minimum group size, as indicated in the trip description. If the group size is not met, we may cancel the trip or offer alternatives with an additional charge.
9. Cancellation by the Company
If we cancel your trip, you will receive a full refund unless the cancellation is due to force majeure or extraordinary circumstances beyond our control. We are not responsible for any additional expenses incurred by you.
10. Force Majeure
The company is not liable for cancellations or disruptions caused by events beyond its control, such as natural disasters, pandemics, war, or government advisories.
11. Itinerary and Activities
The itinerary is subject to changes based on weather, safety, or other factors. Any additional costs resulting from changes are the responsibility of the client.
12. Third-Party Providers
We work with third-party providers for certain services. While we select providers carefully, we are not liable for their actions or unforeseen issues.
13. Insurance
Clients are responsible for obtaining comprehensive insurance covering medical expenses, repatriation, and activity-specific risks. Insurance documentation must be presented upon request.
14. Fitness and Equipment
Participants must meet the fitness and skill requirements specified for the activity. Failure to meet these requirements may result in exclusion without refund. Pre-departure information on required equipment will be provided.
15. Medical Care
Clients must disclose any medical conditions that may affect participation and provide a doctor’s certificate if requested.
16. Acceptance of Risk
Participation in activities involves inherent risks. By booking, you acknowledge and accept these risks. Our guides will provide instructions that must be followed for safety.
17. Code of Conduct
Participants must behave responsibly, follow the guide’s instructions, and respect fellow travelers. Failure to comply may result in exclusion without refund.
18. Leaving the Tour
If you choose to leave the tour voluntarily, we are not liable for your safety, well-being, or additional costs incurred.
19. Travel Documentation
It is your responsibility to ensure you meet all visa and travel requirements for the destination.
20. Complaints
Complaints should be raised promptly during the activity to allow for resolution. Written complaints must be submitted within 14 days of the trip’s conclusion.
21. Media Usage
By participating in our activities, you grant the company permission to use photos or videos of you for promotional purposes unless explicitly stated otherwise.
22. General Terms of Sale and Privacy Policy
By agreeing to these terms, you acknowledge that you have read and accepted our general Terms of Sale and Privacy Policy. In the event of any conflict between this document and our general terms and conditions, the terms in this document shall prevail.
