Fly into Ljubljana, Slovenia
Join us on a guided hiking holiday through some of Europe’s most spectacular mountain scenery. Over six unforgettable days, we’ll journey deep into the Julian Alps of Slovenia, a land of emerald lakes, rugged ridgelines, and alpine meadows complete with wildflowers. From the fairytale charm of Lake Bled to the remote beauty of Triglav National Park, this trip offers a chance to challenge yourself, step away from the crowds and enjoy incredible landscapes.
Alongside experienced local guides, we’ll hike to epic viewpoints, take on a hut-to-hut trek through the legendary Valley of the Seven Lakes, and round things off with a day on Lake Bohinj. With a mix of rewarding hiking, off-grid adventure and moments in nature, this guided hiking holiday is the perfect way to explore Slovenia’s wild heart on foot, and in great company.
Location
From the lakeside charm of Bled to the rugged beauty of Triglav National Park, this trip takes in some of Slovenia’s most striking alpine scenery. After a gentle warm-up hike and a dip in Lake Bled, we head into the mountains, with the chance to summit either Viševnik or Debela Peč — both offering wide-reaching views of Slovenia’s highest peak.
From there, we set off on a three-day hut-to-hut journey, hiking deep into the Julian Alps with incredible backdrops whilst we tackle exposed terrains, rocky passes, and high plateaus. We end the trip on the shores of Lake Bohinj, swapping boots for paddleboards and toasting our final night in the mountains with a well-earned dinner.
This trip is made for active women who are looking for a proper mountain adventure. The hiking is physical and rewarding - from forest trails and steep climbs to high-altitude ridges and technical descents. The hut-to-hut section is where we go fully off-grid, carrying what we need and covering remote ground with no road access in sight.
It’s suited to those who are confident on varied, sometimes exposed terrain, and ready for full days on the move. You don’t need prior hut-to-hut experience, but a good level of fitness, experience hiking and a love of the outdoors are essential.
Hiking
Hut-to-Hut Trekking
For two nights, we’ll stay in traditional mountain huts nestled high in the Julian Alps. While the huts are simple and rustic, they offer everything we need after a full day on the trail. Our group will have a private dorm, so you'll be rooming with your trip mates only.
The social heart of the huts is the dining area, where we’ll come together in the evenings for hearty mountain meals and a relaxed, communal atmosphere. It’s a chance to unwind, swap stories from the day, and soak in the off-grid setting.
While the accommodation is basic, the experience is five star - early starts with coffee and mountain views, evenings under starry skies, and the satisfaction of knowing you’ve put in the distance.
Relaxation at Lake Bohinj
After several days on the trail, we’ll round off the trip with a well-deserved day of rest at beautiful Lake Bohinj. Surrounded by forested slopes and mountain peaks, it’s the perfect place to pause, reflect on what you’ve just achieved, and enjoy the calm. Try paddleboarding on the still waters, go for a swim, or simply relax by the lake with a good book.
No prior paddleboarding experience is needed — our instructor will cover the basics, so whether you're brand new or just brushing up, you’ll feel comfortable heading out on the water.
