Fjällräven Classic - Secure your spot on our team now!
We are building a Gutsy Girls team to do the Fjällräven Classic this August!
In 2018 myself and 5 other Gutsy Girls joined 2,000 people to hike 110km over 6 days. It was an unforgettable experience, filled with laughter (a couple of tears) and crazy amounts of fun! It was my first ever multi-day hike and was such a powerful and memorable experience that I’m thrilled we can do it again.
In 2019, 9 Gutsy Girls headed back to Sweden to do the Classic, they all had their own reason to want to challenge themselves and connect in nature, they had an incredible hike together and long-standing friendships were formed.
This year we have 12 spots available on our team!
Or if you fancy doing this adventure solo, or maybe with your partner, you can ‘join without the team’ and snap up spots on the sold-out event!
What is the Fjällräven Classic?
The Fjällräven Classic Sweden is an organised hiking event by the Swedish brand Fjällräven. You’ll be joining hikers from all over the world to hike 110km on the Kungsleden Trail in the arctic circle of Northern Sweden.
The hikers are set off in waves, meaning you’ll not see too many other hikers on the route until you get to the checkpoints set up every 15km by Fjällräven and at the end point for the party at Trekker’s Inn!
Over 5 days, you’ll carry everything you’ll need in the wild in your backpack, as you venture through the beautiful landscapes of the Abisko National Park. Each day you’ll hike between 15-20km, and each night you’ll set up camp sleeping in the wilderness and connecting with nature.
Fjällräven provide transfers from the airport, transfers to the start point, dehydrated food, fuel for your stove, checkpoints and a couple of treats along the way!
The Gutsy Girls Team
We are excited to bring together a team of 12 women to experience the Fjällräven Classic together.
This is a little different than a Gutsy Girls Adventure, as we won’t be led by a Mountain Leader or Guide, it’s an opportunity for a team to work together and support each other through the hike. You will be responsible for your own safety whilst on the trail and making decisions together as a team on distances you’ll cover each day.
Every adventure we lead we see the power of bringing women together to support each other as they challenge their limiting beliefs, get out of their comfort and discover how incredibly bold they truly are. It’s magical and that’s why we do it!
We aren’t providing a guide on this occasion as you’ll have the checkpoints provided by Fjällräven and the logistics are covered! You’ll likely find a proud Gutsy Girl host or two within the team, we can’t resist an adventure like this!
Join without the Gutsy Girls Team
Maybe you fancy taking on your first solo hiking adventure and want to head out on the trail alone? Or maybe you want to head hike this with a partner or close friend without the Gutsy Girls Team. We have put 4 spots aside for this, you can book in for £225 for this sold-out event! (no GG support or Merchandise included)
Experience Level
You’ll be covering 110km over 5 days carrying a heavy backpack, on undulating and sometimes rocky terrain. You don’t need to have any previous experience on multi-day hikes, but you must be confident in your ability, fitness, strength and grit to cover the distance. We ask you to be considerate of your current ability to complete this hike, we will do it again next year if you need a little more time to prepare and get your strength and fitness up!
What’s Included £265
Gutsy Girls will connect you all up as soon as you sign up, you’ll be added to a Whatsapp group to plan your travel and adventure together. We’ll be here to answer any questions you have before you head out on your adventure, plus some Gutsy Girls goodies!
