WHAT SUP EXPERIENCE DO I NEED?
Each day we’ll be paddling up to 20km, some of these sessions we will be crossing between Islands so we recommend that you have some SUP experience before arriving. Conditions can be varied, so you may be paddling in choppy water and against wind. Luckily if you fall in the water is lovely and warm!
Just to be aware, that paddling into wind can be tiring, so you may choose to paddle on your knees, just something to consider if you have had an injury in the past.
We’ll have great coaching throughout the week to boost your skills and techniques, and there’s always the option to kayak on longer paddling days.
Gutsy Girls run twice monthly SUP Sessions in London where you can up your paddle fitness and technique to get the most from this trip, we can also recommend other SUP schools!
FITNESS LEVELS AND SWIMMING ABILITIES
As with all our adventures, we recommend a good level of fitness. Our days are action packed with activities and the fitter you are, the more you’ll enjoy them :) We’ll always paddle as a group, no one is left behind!
As we are paddling in open water, we recommend being able to swim comfortably. We provide PFDs and leashes to stay safe when paddling.
HOW DO WE GET THERE?
The nearest airport is Zadar which has several low cost airlines offering flights from major cities. You’ll need to arrive Saturday morning to give you enough time to catch the Ferry to Molat.
The Ferry departs from Jadrolinija - Zadar Old Town, it’s a 20 minute taxi ride from the airport, Uber is available aswell as a local bus. We will connect you with the others on your trip, so you can travel together.
Ferry Tickets - You can buy there 100m from where the boat departs, tickets cost around 10€, there’s no need to book in advance.
Make sure you have enough time to get to the Ferry from the airport!
Saturday 4th May - Departs at 13:30
Saturday 15th June - Departs at 14:05
Saturday 7th September - Departs at 14:05
GETTING BACK TO ZADAR
Return catamaran leaves at 06:50 (arriving to Zadar at 07:50) meaning you can grab an afternoon flight home or continue your travels in Croatia.
The trip is a 6 night package, you’ll be staying on Molat from Saturday to Friday morning. Zadar is a beautiful town, so we do recommend staying there for the night!
In 2018 we stayed in this hostel and would recommend it! You’ll be connected with others on the trip so you can arrange to stay together.

WHAT'S THE WEATHER LIKE?
May - 19º - 25ºc, we’ve chosen May for our SUP x HIKE trip as it will be much more comfortable for hiking and climbing in cooler climates. There’ll still be plenty of sunshine in the Island section too!
June and September - 10 hours of sunshine and between 25-28ºc. Perfect SUP conditions :)
CAN I COME ALONE?
As with all our Gutsy Girl events and holidays, we encourage you to come solo! Most women joining the week will be travelling alone, plus there is a Gutsy Girl Host on hand to introduce you to your group. We will also connect you with other women on the trip beforehand, so you can make travel arrangements together and meet up!
After the trip, most of our groups stay in touch and meet up frequently, we love how many incredible friendships form from our holidays.
IS THERE A HOST?
YEP! Every Gutsy Girl Holiday has a Gutsy Girl Host, who’s there to ensure you have the best experience possible. The host will join you on all activities, offer support when needed and there to make you comfortable. They’ll also be equipped with cameras and a drone to get amazing photos of your holiday!
